“I was amazed at the selection and the beauty of the flowers”

Our flowers are grown right here on our farm in Hudson, NYI happen to be a new resident of Claverack and was recommended by the former owners of our home to visit Holmquest Farms for anything I needed to plant whether vegetables or flowers.

On my first visit to the farm I was amazed at the selection and the beauty of the flowers that were offered. My second visit was to ask assistance as to what type of greenery was growing in my garden. I brought a sample of what I thought might be a flower and was afraid of ripping them out when I was doing spring cleanup. Terri the owner was a little unsure of the species of the sample I brought but offered to lend me a book on plants and flowers so I could try and identify what was actually growing in my garden. To my amazement, that afternoon while I was doing some weeding a car pulls into my driveway and it was Terri,  the owner of Holmquest coming to see firsthand what my dilemma was. Terri assured my that what I wanted to pull out was definitely weeds.

Since then, I have been visiting Holmquest farms about once a week to freshen my garden with their beautiful flowers and during the summer I visit very frequently to purchase their fresh fruit and vegetables. They have the BEST corn we have ever tasted!!

Not only are Terri and Tom along with their staff friendly, they are also very helpful when you have a question about planting or how to enjoy their fresh vegetables during the winter months.

“Holmquest is the best farm stand in the area hands down!”

We grow fruits and vegetables on our farm in Hudson, NY“We look forward every spring to dropping by Holmquest Farms and have for the past 9 years. We always find what we need for the gardens at the greenhouse and for the table at the farm. Holmquest is the best farm stand in the area hands down! The first time we visit every year feels like coming home! Terri, Tom and the whole staff are always friendly and helpful and you can count on leaving with your plants and veggies… and a smile!”
